If you are a professor of Spanish who holds a Ph.D., you are welcome to apply for membership.

How do I become a Spanish Academic Network member?

Fill out the The Spanish Academic Network Membership form and submit it.

How can I have my profile published?

Professor profiles are created for sponsoring members who have submitted at least one (1) written work.

Who is considered a "sponsoring member"?

A sponsoring professor simply makes a donation of any amount with no specific periodicity. Your donations help us maintain, improve, and promote the Spanish Academic Network.

How are sponsorship monies used?

All funds from sponsorship go to professional web site development and maintenance, as well as online promotion.

Are there any hidden costs associated with publishing on The Spanish Academic Network?

Publishing is free unless you request elaborate formatting or special graphic arts work. Contact ePublishing@spanishacademic.com if you have questions.

Who may submit their writings?

Any professor of Spanish holding a Ph.D. may submit their writings.

What are the criteria for getting published?

Work submitted to The Spanish Academic Network must be in its final form. Before being published, two peers review your submission and both must agree that the submitted work is free of grammatical and other errors. However, we reserve the right to reject pieces for any reason. In general, we will reject writings that are profoundly offensive or pornographic.

What about copyrights?

Writings submitted to The Spanish Academic Network must be original works written by you, and you must own all copyrights before submitting them to us. You are solely responsible ethically and legally for your piece's legitimacy. All of your sources must be cited and published along with the piece.

What formats should be used, and in what form should I deliver the document?


Use standard MLA format and deliver your writing to The Spanish Academic Network in an ELECTRONIC form: either as a Word for Windows (.doc), Text File (.txt), or a Rich Text File (.rtf).

What can I do if I do not have my work in an electronic format?

Will The Spanish Academic Network link to content I have published elsewhere on the Internet?

In general, no: We provide outbound links only from our directories. Work associated to your profile and found elsewhere on the Internet should be duplicated on The Spanish Academic Network when all copyright permissions have been granted.
